Girls and Recap

We have been enjoying nicer weather, not the best, but nice enough to go outside and take a few pictures, ride bikes, jump on the trampoline, hang out.   The girls and I are getting so bored staying inside all the time, we are all ready for Spring.  I know, we still have a long way to go :o(

Recap ---

Pepper is now jumping (both feet off the floor) and skipping across the house, that is if she isn't running.  She can repeat any word and I thought she was going to one nap a day but today we are back to an early morning nap so we will see.  She has been generally happy and easy going, loves going down slides by herself and is using the fork so much better.  I keep debating potty training but I really want to wait until it is warmer and around 18 months.

Summer has been so whiney lately, no clue why, so I am trying to spend more time with her.  It could be the weather and the fact that we are cooped up all day, who knows.  She is doing so well with school, reading and starting addition.  She loves to draw and color but still doesn't color in the lines, instead prefers to use several colors on an object.  She is doing great in her piano and ballet class and choir starts up again in February.

Kris & I have been super stressed.  We decided to sell our house and buy a new one, sold our house, found a new house, then our house fell through so we can't buy the new house.  I am not sure what we are going to do now but we need to relax because our stress is probably affecting our girls.

Trampolining

It actually got up to the upper 50's today and though it was still very windy it was just nice enough to go outside on the trampoline for a few minutes and play, or as I like to call it, trampolining!  Pepper loves the trampoline, she runs around, chases balls, falls, it is so fun to watch her too.  Here are a few pictures from our adventure a few moments ago, and yes it is very dry and the static is insane.

Toes and Things

At some point in life this little girl is going to care about her toes, but not right now.  You may look at these five little things and think - ewww gross, and they are kinda gross looking, but I sure love them because I love every single part of this little person I made 5 years ago.  Poor toes.  One day she might not like what I pick for her to wear, she might not like how I fix her hair, or how I fix my own hair!  I know it is coming because she is becoming her own little person, all I can do is try my best to influence her the best I can, positive, happy, healthy ...

for now I should probably stick to helping her poor toes, maybe a soak, some lotion, a file ... some socks ;o)

DIY Hair Bow Holder

I had a hair bow holder for the girls but it just wasn't big enough, or I have too many bows, so as I was looking around my bathroom I saw the towel holder rack hanging off the bathroom door and the lightbulb went off!

Before

After

I just tied three pieces of long ribbon from the top and added bows

The holder I have that ran out of room

top of the towel holder, good for headbands too!

bottom of the new holder!
